Extract from Character Backstory:
“ The Gem District of the city was a safe and comfortable home, until Won became old enough to note the scowls that her olive skin would attract. Regardless, she quickly grew into a wayward yet respectful young aristocrat. Summers were spent in the warm gardens; candlelit Winters learning language and calligraphy in her father’s study. With age came tusks and height and further distrust from other races, which resulted in a desire to learn of the heritage that her mother so bluntly shied away from. Won attempted to learn orcish culture for herself, of Gruumsh and clans and their regard for scars as tokens of pride, one night going as far as to permanently mark her own face in an, unbeknownst to her, ignorant attempt to connect with this side of herself. “
