The testimonials below are all from people I have worked closely with in various roles,
I hope they give you further insight into my competencies and nature

  • Problem Solving ~ Senior UX Designer at Ubisoft

Chloe and I are in many of the same meetings and I see her engaging in both feature details and wider game concepts in various ways. Being in the same very small UX team, we face many of the same challenges so I am in a good position give feedback.

Chloe's input in design meetings is well received and shows great insight to the often difficult problems. People seem to seek her out for advice and input. She has been very proactive around the features she has a stake-hold in and she has gone above and beyond to try and resolve blocking issues and take things forward (for example the inventory). She has incorporated feedback well and has shown she can iterate quickly and positively

Chloe has shown leadership qualities in her attitude to A11y, trying to captain the approach and having stated her interest in that from the outset. This has not been an easy ride but she has remained committed to it regardless of the outcome beyond her control.

Chloe created a prototype or two that have very well received and also applied solid UX techniques to problem solve issues. From what I can see, Chloe has friends in most departments and seems to be a very well liked team player both professionally and personally.

  • Working with Game Design ~ Game Designer at Ubisoft

I really value the resulting work and time spent collaborating with Chloe. I think Chloe provides a great level of knowledge and understanding that goes beyond her relative time or experience.

Her passion for accessibility as well as her impetus to contribute positively in other areas of the design were noticed and should be championed.

Chloe is a valued member of the design group I think she brings a positive mindset and a valuable perspective when it comes to the marketing and design intentions of our project, she provides clear and constructive feedback and is not afraid to voice her opinion even if it is not the most commonly occurring one in the room, which is a quality that cannot be understated in an industry that can at times be a bit of an echo chamber of opinion.

Overall I enjoy interacting with Chloe, her personality and positivity can help cut through some design discussions or help alleviate an air of fatigue or frustration that so often plagues teams in a creative setting.

  • Prototyping ~ Expert Programmer at Ubisoft

The prototype created for [redacted] to explore [feature of core loop] was excellent. It hit the requirements of a 'prototype' almost perfectly.

In conveyed the 'mood' of the activity well and allowed the user to easily get an intuitive understanding of the setting and gameplay without doing more work than needed, it touched most of the important points of the design area it was exploring very well, and it didn't contain anything that was a significant distraction from the subject matter.

In general, I think this prototype was one of the most effective and successful I've seen in recent months. Choosing not to literally implement the gameplay and instead present it as a point and click was an excellent use of time and effort. It touched on many of the important points of it's investigation, conveyed it's ideas well and looked great.

  • Working with UI Art ~ Junior UI Artist at Ubisoft

I have sat next to Chloe for just over 4 months now and I just wanted to highlight what an asset she is to [the project] and the wider company. Her knowledge of [the project] is vast and it has helped me on multiple occasions, such as when I am stuck on a feature-specific problem or identifying issues early.

The knowledge she has shared around UX has made me a much better UI artist and the resources she shares have helped me acquire a deeper understanding of industry-standard practices.

We worked together on HUD notifications where she provided a breakdown of requirements, ensured that [milestone] notifications were prioritised and had regular discussions to support our visual development.

Her drive to improve is infectious and she is an absolute joy to work with.

  • Speaking at Games Accessibility Gathering ~ Event Organiser

Chloe delivered an incredible micro talk, The Feature Procedure, at our event: Game Accessibility Gathering, at Brighton on 10th of July.

Chloe’s talk was insightful, practical and very well received by our attendees. Their presentation was professional and clear, and was one of my personal favourites of the event due to how actionable it is. I would highly recommend Chloe expand the talk and deliver a fuller version at other events, and would also trust Chloe to talk on other accessibility topics.

  • Taking on New Things ~ Director of Operations at Createc

Chloe has been a fantastic addition to our team during her two summer placements. She joined a team of highly skilled software engineers and researchers to work on developing systems for hazardous environments. Chloe's first placement was at the end of her first year of university and without any background created a complete VR simulation. In her second placement the following year, Chloe designed and created a full UI/UX system for a new robotic system. Chloe led the discussions with customers and end users to understand the requirements, developed wireframes and concepts, before generating the final prototype.

Through her time at Createc, Chloe has worked extremely well within the research team. She demonstrated the ability to self-learn, being able to take a task, research how it should be completed, and deliver the work on time. She was always keen to help others and put her own views across in team meetings. Chloe would be a valued asset to any company in the future.
